Bladder cancer is a type of cancer that develops in the lining of the bladder—an organ in the urinary system responsible for storing urine. It most commonly begins in the urothelial (transitional) cells that line the inside of the bladder.
Bladder cancer can vary in severity, ranging from early-stage tumors confined to the inner lining to more advanced forms that invade deeper layers of the bladder or spread to other parts of the body. Early detection plays a crucial role in improving treatment outcomes.
