Our holistic approach to alternative treatments for cancer is what sets our Arizona cancer center apart. Insulin potentiation therapy (IPT) is at the heart of our treatment, but we believe this singular approach is not enough on its own. Years of experience using a holistic cancer treatment model clearly demonstrated that combining other effective therapies with IPT enhanced the treatment without exposing the body to additional toxic agents.
Dr. Frank George helped pioneer the use of insulin to potentiate (enhance the effectiveness) of another substance. Using insulin to amplify chemotherapy’s effects enables us to use much lower doses which, in turn, greatly limits the side effects and immune suppression that can be debilitating during conventional chemotherapy treatments. Another significant advantage is, because of the very low doses, several chemotherapy drugs can be combined into each treatment. We have found that there is synergy between the drugs that makes them more effective as a group, compared to using them one at a time. These combinations would otherwise be too toxic at conventional doses, which gives IPT a great advantage.
Something that distinguishes cancer alternative treatment at EuroMed Foundation is that it’s customized for each patient. Two patients, the same age, with the same type of cancer, may respond differently to the same combination of treatment therapies. Our doctors focus on 3 goals: 1) alternative low-dose chemotherapy treatment that aggressively targets cancer cells while 2) simultaneously boosting your immune system and 3) changing your chemical terrain to be inhospitable for the cancer, through diet.
The foundation of alternative treatment for cancer at EuroMed is insulin potentiated therapy, or IPT. Also called very low-dose chemotherapy, IPT uses about a tenth the amount of drugs used in standard chemotherapy. IPT uses cancer cells’ appetite for sugar to its advantage, targeting those cells without compromising your body’s healthy cells.
Our holistic approach is unlike standard chemotherapy because EuroMed uses a small fraction of the standard chemotherapy dose and actively supports your immune system throughout your treatment. We do this using complementary therapies our doctors identify that will be helpful in your specific case. By alternating between very low-dose chemotherapy and complementary therapies, we can detoxify the body and boost your liver function.
Other examples of alternative treatment options that might be integrated into your therapy include:
- Heat therapy: Hyperthermia generates heat to create more blood supply to the area. Because cancers have such a high rate of metabolism, when they are warmed up with infrared heat, for example, they over-metabolize themselves to death.
- Ozone therapy: Cancer does poorly in an oxygen rich environment. We use ozone therapy to oxygenate your tissues and create an unfavorable environment for the cancer.
The doctors and medical staff at EuroMed view cancer as a side effect of a weakened immune system, so our treatments are focused on supporting that system. Standard, systemic chemotherapy is based on the opposite philosophy, attacking both healthy and diseased cells in a way that undermines your immune function. IPT targets the cancer cells, which allows us to use a fraction of the drugs that are required in standard chemotherapy. At the same time, we prescribe complementary therapies that include dietary changes and supplements to enhance your immune system’s response. Rather than struggle through some of the worst effects of traditional chemotherapy, our patients become stronger.
